Electric Technical Support Engineer working with customers to provide end user hardware support in a fast-paced atmosphere utilizing writing and verbal communication skills to provide detailed technical information to an audience with various levels of technical understanding. I work regularly with AclaraONE, TWACS OC, Microsoft products (Windows Operating Systems, Office applications), UNIX/Linux, Oracle PL/SQL to serve the water, gas and electric utility space. My jobs focus currently, TWACS, NISC and the power distribution system. Using my telephone and often a remote desktop connection I support a variety of smart grid concerns including the shutoff of CDMA 3G network on 12-31-2022 for the TWACS migration to the 4G LTE network. Working with SQL Server and Oracle databases running custom queries, analyzing code and it’s output for unexpected behaviors. Create custom scripts and basic tasks within Microsoft Windows operating systems for software workarounds and troubleshooting TWACS and NISC interfacing issues including TCP/IP, radio and serial communication links.

Former electrical troubleshooting service/repairman D.O.T. & F.C.C. avionics technician with a strong enthusiasm for safety and quality. Experienced working with NEC (National Electric Code) performing servicing, testing, maintenance and repair of many types of electronics and control equipment. 2 1/2 years experience with Boeing 737 aircraft electrical systems. I work regularly with manuals, technical data sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, including fluid system drawings (pneumatic & hydraulic). Full-Stack developer with an extensive computer hardware background.

My Interests: helping people, electronics, micro-controllers, engine & motor controllers, modern automation technologies; connecting devices to the IoT. Hobby is programming like C, Python, JAVA, HTML, CSS and learning SQL.

I own an extensive array of electrical diagnostic & rework equipment, a very large Snap-On toolbox including equipment for processing and terminating many types of wire and cable including Teflon, PVC, Multi-Conductor, Coaxial, Ribbon, Molex, Tyco, DMC, JST, Amphenol including Micro-D's & D-Subs, Deutsch, Delphi and more.

 September 10 2018 ---- June 19 2022 metron Metron (Electronics Service Technician) for Fire Pump Controllers of Hubbell Industrial Controls Division. worked with reduced voltage 3 phase motor controllers of various types including, across line, part winding wye delta utilizing open and closed transition types, autotransformers, Soft starters and VFD (Variable Frequency Drive). Repairing electric motor controllers & diesel engine controllers includes troubleshooting replacing PCB's, loading firmware, setting limit switches, programming setpoints, calibrate required equipment not limited to current transformers, thermocouples and pressure transducers calculating slopes and offsets before testing engine & motor controllers for service. Required to repair electrical systems utilizing applicable schematics, test instruments and hand tools following company guidelines including NFPA, & UL standards. Lead service technician for The Metron product line, I traveled as required for onsite service and commissioning's. Answer Technical Support phone calls on company provided cell phone providing assistance by reading schematics to localize and identify anomaly's.

We worked from a rented building until October 2000 when we relocated to 4100 Kernersville Road. hoping to be more central for Triad areas of North Carolina offering mobile computer support services. April 15 1996—December 13 1998 Diversified Technical Services (DTS) of Greensboro (Mobile Electronics Technician) Repaired computerized cardiovascular monitoring recording systems for Hospital Gyms and Rehabilitation Units. Utilized a laptop, wiring diagrams, schematics, with a DVM & Oscilloscope to diagnose and locate electrical anomalies for repair. Services included version updates modifying equipment creating cables for the computer monitored input systems. On call replacing and repairing failed hardware as needed cloning disk drives, re-programming Flash ROMs, circuit board Re-Work soldering, small motor repairs + replacements,  fuses, power supply's, display units, etc. Supervisor: CEO Robert Delp

1989-1996 Crescent Ford of High Point (Automotive Service Technician) attending school, Inspect used cars prior to trade-in. Repair trade-ins and used car purchases to bring cars to Ford Certified Pre-Owned Status.  Ilderton Dodge of High Point (Automotive Service Technician promoted to build Handicapped Conversion Vans) Part -Time mechanic while attending school.  Eventually hired full time to an hourly position hand crafting new Dodge vans into fully functional handicapped conversion vans.
