About Me

I am a hands-on technician, systems troubleshooter, programmer, and builder with more than four decades of technical experience. My background spans power generation equipment, automotive and industrial electronics, Boeing 737 avionics, computer repair and networking, web development, utility communications, embedded systems, and applied AI. The common thread throughout my work is learning systems at the component level, diagnosing what prevents them from working correctly, and creating practical solutions for the people who operate them. One of my great-uncles, Francis Crick, inspired my interest in science and consciousness. Proud of my oldest son, Keven Crick II (KC), who now works in AI with xAI/SpaceX after several years at Apple.

Programming and Systems Development: Since around 1992, through our family businesses Mobile PC Doctor and NCPCS, I have worked with computer hardware, system administration, network installation and cabling, websites, hosting, databases, microcontrollers, and connected devices. I program in C, Python, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL and have created full-stack websites, device interfaces, automation utilities, and operator workflows. AI is one of the ways I continue to build on my technical foundation.

Hands-On Technical Capability: I own and use an extensive collection of electrical diagnostic and rework equipment and a large professional Snap-On tool system. My equipment supports schematic-based troubleshooting, electronics repair, wire and cable fabrication, and termination of Teflon, PVC, multiconductor, coaxial, ribbon, and network wiring. My connector tooling includes Molex, Tyco, DMC, JST, Amphenol, Micro-D, D-Sub, Deutsch, and Delphi systems. My experience also includes interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, supported by FAA Airframe and Powerplant and FCC credentials.

Current Work: Today I provide remote technical support for utility communications and metering systems while continuing to develop applied-AI systems and workflows. I have created tools including PromptStudio, the NCPCS Codex Session Builder, and Hindsightly. NCPCS remains my work-related hobby and personal development space for experimenting with websites, electronics, embedded and IoT systems, operator tools, and local language models. Most recently, May 7, 2026: Created an easy-to-use HTML-based internal tool that added CSV-generation capability to the GenV Toolkit for RF firmware-over-the-air updates.
